Write to us and a person answers, usually within a day: kemalden2026@gmail.com. Say which iPhone and which iOS version if the question is about something not working.
Where is my data?
On your phone. If you switch iCloud on in Settings, a copy goes to your own iCloud as well. There is no Blushback account and no Blushback server; we cannot see what you write. The privacy page says all of it.
I got a new phone. How do I bring everything over?
If iCloud was on, sign in to the same Apple account on the new phone, install Blushback and switch iCloud on in Settings; your records come down. If iCloud was off, make a backup first (Settings → Backup), keep the file anywhere, and restore it on the new phone from the same screen.
How does the family archive work?
Settings → Family → Invite sends a link made by Apple's iCloud sharing. The person you invite opens it on their iPhone with Blushback installed and sees the children, dreams and memories you have put in the family archive. Everyone adds; each person can change or remove only their own entries. Leaving the archive takes your own entries with you.
A reminder for a dream didn't come. What do I check?
Open the dream: it needs a date, an age or a milestone, and its reminder switched on — a dream with no "when" waits quietly. Then your phone's Settings: notifications allowed for Blushback, and Focus or Do Not Disturb not holding them. Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself, so they fire whether or not you are online; if a reminder was due while the app was deleted and reinstalled, open the dream once and it is scheduled again.
Why didn't I get a notification when someone added something?
Three things to check: notifications are allowed for Blushback in your phone's Settings; in Blushback, Settings → Family notifications has "Notify me" on for that kind of entry; and you are not inside your quiet hours. Notifications are built on your phone from the family archive, so the phone needs to have been online since the entry was made.
The family invitation doesn't open, or our records don't match
The invitation is an iCloud sharing link. It needs the other person signed in to iCloud on their iPhone, with iCloud Drive on, and Blushback installed before they tap it; then the app's Settings → Family shows "join". If the link was tapped before the app was installed, install it and paste the link into Settings → Family. Records that don't match usually mean one phone has iCloud off in Blushback's Settings, or has not been online since the other added something — open the app on both and give it a minute. Still apart? Write to us with both phones' iOS versions.
Does everyone in the family need an iPhone? Does it cost anything?
Yes: the family archive is Apple's iCloud sharing, so everyone in it needs an iPhone with iCloud. Blushback is free while it is new. If a paid plan comes later, what you have already written stays yours, readable and exportable, on every plan.
Can I keep my memories outside the app?
Settings → Backup writes everything — records, photos, voice notes — into one file you can keep anywhere (Files, a computer, a drive). Today that file restores into Blushback on any iPhone; it is not yet a document you can read without the app. A plain export — your sentences as text, your photos as photos — is on our list, because an archive you are meant to open in twenty years should not depend on us.
Sharing into Blushback from another app
In Photos, WhatsApp, Safari or Notes, tap Share and choose Blushback. A photo or video becomes a new memory, a sentence becomes something your child said, a link becomes a dream. If Blushback is not in the list, scroll the share sheet to the end, tap More, and switch it on.
Face ID
Settings → Face ID asks for your face, finger or passcode when the app opens and after it has been away for a couple of minutes. It is checked by your phone; Blushback stores nothing about it. It is per phone and is not part of a backup.
Deleting everything
Settings → Your data → Delete everything removes every record and file from the phone. If iCloud was on, Settings → iCloud → Remove the copy from iCloud removes that too. Deleting the app also removes everything on the phone, which is why we suggest a backup first.
